Update: Our response to the Mansion Society "pop-up" Wedding Claims

We're writing in response to the defamatory and misleading posts made by Mansion Society regarding our supposed "pop up" wedding. 

Accusations of encroaching on a local business are serious, and we empathize with your reactions, given the narrative Mansion Society has spun.

Here's what actually happened:

• We contacted the building management about our intention to have our wedding officiated more than 3 weeks ahead, albeit with a guest count of 8.

• The only ask from the manager was if we would be paying customers.

• On the said day, we eventually had 14 guests present, 6 more than agreed. 

• The offer of $200 was made in good faith because we exceeded the agreed guest count, before any financial compensation was requested.

• We stopped communicating when it came to our attention that Mansion Society had taken to social media prior to even initiating private conversations with us. It was clear that the private discussions were not being held in good faith to come to an amicable resolution.

It is incredibly unfortunate that such an important moment in our lives has been colored and scarred by this social media rampage, when it could have been easily resolved in private.

As advised by our legal counsel and our hope to move on from this, we will refrain from participating in any additional discussions regarding this story. Thanks!
